National Guard Cycling Club – Minnesota Chapter
Who We Are:
Welcome to Minnesota National Guard Cycling (MN NGC), a Chapter of the National organization. The mission of the NGC is to offer local Guardsmen and their families a venue to participate in a healthy activity and increase visibility of the MNG in our local communities and State. Cycling provides people with a sense of freedom and is an activity in which the whole family can participate! National Guard Cycling (NGC) was established in 2007 for that very reason. NGC believes that cycling can not only strengthen family bonds, but also bring military families together to form a stronger military community that shares common interests. NGC encourages any National Guard service member, spouse, dependant, retiree, and/or contractor to join NGC regardless of your experience or ability level! MN NGC will participate in a wide variety of events/races that take place in Minnesota. The main focus is to have fun and to bring awareness to the National Guard as members’ cycle through the very communities where we live, work, and play.
Moving forward, we also hope to connect mentors with individuals who would like to learn more about cycling, teach safe and responsible riding skills, share ideas, organize team participation in organized charitable events, and potentially hold some group rides in both Northern and Southern Minnesota.
Currently we have two different events that a few members will be participating in, if you would like more information on the rides, or would like to participate as a ‘team’ please contact me. Also, make sure to ‘like’ us on Facebook for up to date information, scheduling group rides and more event discussion. Search for MN National Guard Cycling on Facebook.
